This magnificent sculture depicts a horse with adorned with a vibrant three-color glaze (sancai) and pigment.  The horse stand tall, capturing its strength and grace.  The use of sancai glaze was a hallmark of a hallmark of Tang ceeramics.  These tomb figurines were created exc;usively for burial purposes reflecting the wealth and status sof their owners.
